ABOUT ME

In 1968, I was introduced to Army aviation, and for three years was involved in controlling some of the finest Huey pilots to roar through the treacherous skies of Viet Nam.

I'll never forget the rhythmic chop-chop of those rotor blades, the thrill of aircraft in flight, the smell of JP-4 in the morning. It could not help but trigger a life-long passion for all things aviation.

I became a writer and reporter, working on the staff of United Press International, then spending a decade at News/Talk WIBC

(the 50,000-watt flamethrower in Indianapolis). As a free-lancer, I've been published in Field & Stream, Indianapolis Monthly, and other magazines.  But it's my love of flying that takes center stage in The Tin Pusher Chronicles.
